At a time when dance music is embracing cross-pollination and eclecticism more than ever, Untold Stories is beyond excited to partner up with Tawoos Initiative to bring you the talented NTS Radio host and Ninja Tune artist Nabihah Iqbal.


You may know her as Throwing Shade, but the NTS radio host ditched that moniker to embrace the name she was born with. Being a multi-instrumentalist, Nabihah decided to take her understanding of global music to deeper level when she enrolled to study ethnomusicology at the London School of Oriental & African Studies (SOAS). Having played at Berghain / Panorama Bar and Boiler Room, this summer Nabihah will be adding the MoMA ps1 Warm up 2019 to her already stacked resume. A prime moment for this all-embracing approach, London-born Nabihah Iqbal is joining us for a DJ set in Toronto for the very first time.

Dynoman (NYC)

Dynoman a.k.a Haamid Rahim is a producer, resident host on New York station Halfmoon BK, resident at Brooklyn club h0l0 and a frequent DJ at the Disco Tehran parties.The Brooklyn based producer, hailing from the megacity of Karachi, uses a variety of electronic synthesis and eclectic beats to bring forth his unique take on electronic music. After Nabihah Iqbal’s visit to Pakistan, she put London magazine Stamp The Wax on to a compilation that was created by Dynoman's label Foreversouth music, eventually resulting in him being invited to curate STW’s first ever South Asian city guide.


Zoi - CA (Toronto)

The Toronto local needs no introduction. The producer, sound engineer and DJ has been frequenting Toronto clubs for over a decade. One half of the DJ duo (Talal & Zoi) that made waves in Europe, South Asia and North America for sounds that were strange, but also familiar to local househeads. With a recent release on German label Traum Schallplatten and multiple projects on the go, Zoi hopes to represent Toronto and Pakistan in the electronic music scene.
